Monmouth County, NJ #8211; NJ Transit introduced a number of dramatic changes Tuesday which will expand bus use of Brookdale Community College#8217;s campuses in Lincroft and Hazlet. (Brookdale has six locations in Monmouth County: Lincroft, Freehold, Wall, Lengthy Branch, Hazlet and Neptune, however these bus changes only impact its Lincroft and Hazlet campuses.)
- The 833 route is going to be coupled with NJ Transit#8217;s 835 route to produce a new 838 route, that will operate between your Freehold Raceway Mall and Ocean Vibrant. The 838 route will run hourly, supplying a “single-seat” ride to Lincroft or Freehold for citizens commuting from Ocean Vibrant, Rumson, Fair Haven and eastern Red Bank. The 838 may also operate between Ocean Vibrant and Lincroft on Saturdays, running every 85 minutes.
- NJ Transit’s 832 bus route may also be extended to Brookdale, running hourly on weekdays from 7:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. as well as on Saturdays from 7:30 a.m. to six p.m. The 832 will offer you “single-seat” rides to Lincroft for citizens commuting from Shrewsbury, Eatontown, Sea Township, Neptune Township and Red Bank.
- NJ TRANSIT’s 817 route is going to be extended to Brookdale’s Hazlet campus, offering plan to commuters from Perth Amboy, South Amboy, Old Bridge, Aberdeen, Keyport, Union Beach, Keansburg and Middletown. The 817 may also offer timed connections using the 834 line, supplying plan to commuters from Red Bank, Leonardo, Atlantic Highlands and Highlands.
Brookdale#8217;s Lincroft campus is presently offered through the 833 bus route running between Freehold and Red Bank. The 833 route presently runs every 70 minutes between 7:30 a.m. and seven:15 p.m. and offers no weekend service. Listed here are the changes arriving September:
