Big Go swimming organizers change route because of Northumberland Strait … – CBC.ca

Every year, people travel everywhere for that Big Go swimming, a fundraising event that challenges participants to mix the strait between New Brunswick and P.E.I.

60-two bathers and kayakers started a 14-km journey within the waters of the Northumberland Strait Sunday morning, but on the different route than initially planned. 

Using the tide in their backs, the very first bathers were crossing the conclusion line by 9 a.m. 

The event#8217;s goal would be to raise $150,000 — which may send 150 kids to summer time camp programs. Donations is going to be recognized until September.
