Browns eager to see DeShone Kizer ‘in real lights’ on MNF to help decide if he’s ready for Steelers –

#8220;It#8217;s called the ocean route where he shoulder-shrugged the flat defender and moved left and threw right behind him,#8221; said Lee. #8220;That#8217;s really, really good. I hadn#8217;t taught that yet because I don#8217;t think he#8217;s ready for it yet, but that#8217;s how natural his instincts are and how good he is and can be. The timing was unbelievable. He did that on his own.#8221;

#8220;We#8217;ve got for sure two more games,#8221; said Lee, not counting the throw-away fourth exhibition game in Chicago. #8220;You get three under your belt, you#8217;ve got a pretty good feeling about what your quarterback can do and can#8217;t do. But I#8217;m looking forward to watching his progression in all these areas we#8217;re talking about in these next two games, and we#8217;ll see where he is then.#8221;

At this point, the Browns might still want to start Osweiler to start the first quarter of the schedule #8212; which includes three AFC North games #8212; but if Kizer demonstrates he can execute the offense and not hurt the team, they#8217;re not concerned about his psyche.

#8220;Install-wise, shoot, it#8217;s been full speed ahead,#8221; said Lee. #8220;He#8217;s been right up there. The water#8217;s still deep #8212; it isn#8217;t going down on him yet #8212; but Hue hasn#8217;t held anything back.#8221;

But #8220;is he there yet? Not really.#8221;

#8220;That#8217;s why this one Monday night is so good for him. That#8217;s what we need. Put him in real lights, a national television game, and see if he can carry these fundamentals that we#8217;re harping on him over and over and over to the game.#8221;
