Anyone with information on Sharpe’s whereabouts is asked to call police at 919-560-4910 or Crime Stoppers at 919-683-1200.
Sharpe is wanted on possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury, larceny of a motor vehicle, abduction of a child and assault inflicting serious injury with a minor present.
Randy Kay Sharpe Jr., 32, was driving his girlfriend and her 5-year-old son when he shot her in the leg during an argument, police said. The girlfriend was able to get out of the car and get help.
Police said Sharpe then took the child to Greensboro, where he left him with family members.
Investigators said they believe Sharpe may be in Greensboro or Rocky Mount.
Durham, N.C. — Durham police were searching for a man Thursday who is wanted on shooting and abduction charges stemming from a domestic dispute early Wednesday.
