Four being considered for U.S. attorney in northern Ohio, sources say –

The Northern District of Ohio encompasses 40 counties in the northern part of the states, and includes Cleveland, Akron, Toledo and Youngstown.

Attorneys Justin Herdman, Arturo Hernandez, John McCaffrey and David Sierleja have been interviewed by Portman#8217;s staff, according to those interviewed for this story. All four have experience as federal prosecutors.

He sits on the Chagrin Falls City Council.

McCaffrey has taken on several high-profile cases, including defending Jerrell Bray, a DEA informant who admitted to framing several people in Mansfield for drug deals they did not commit.
