#8220;I practically grew up inside a small theatre in north east England, performing around 4 or 5 full-scale productions a year, but I haven#8217;t done that for a long time now and I#8217;m incredibly nervous about taking on such a huge role.#8221;
One larger-than-life production is making its way to Woking this month but what makes it even more of a hair-raising occasion is that one of Get Surrey #8216;s very own editors will be stepping into one of the main parts.
But it#8217;s not all about Michael, as the production, being produced by The Biz Theatre School, hopes to raise thousands of pounds for children#8217;s hospice Shooting Star Chase.
Hairspray the Musical will be performed at Woking#8217;s Rhoda McGaw Theatre on Friday August 25 and Saturday August 26, with a matinée at 2.15pm on Saturday.
Tickets are £16 with profits from the performance going to Shooting Star Chase Hospice Care for Children.
#8220;We are once again raising money for the Children’s Hospice charity Shooting Star Chase, so not only will they be putting a show together under the guidance of West End professionals but they will also be raising money for a worthwhile cause.#8221;
#8220;Edna is one of the great iconic musical roles that anyone would love to take on, so for The Biz and Erika to place the trust of this role in my hands is truly something special,#8221; he said.
