Goal-scorer Liam McAlinden on Exeter City’s draw with Swindon Town – Devon Live

#8220;Whether Lincoln have come up or Swindon have come down we#8217;ll approach the game the same during the week – we#8217;ll work hard with Tis, get our philosophy and our way of playing games and we#8217;ll go into another home game on the back of a good result last week and hopefully we#8217;ll get the right result.#8221;

He said: #8220;We#8217;ll approach the game exactly the same for Lincoln. Every team#8217;s in this league for a reason so you#8217;ve got to give everyone their due respect.

He said: #8220;It#8217;s great to get off the mark and going there beforehand, you#8217;d have thought that a draw was a good result, but obviously when you go 1-0 up and you#8217;re trying to see the game out, we#8217;re a bit disappointed with the way it#8217;s finished, but we#8217;ll take the point into next week.

He said: #8220;You get told from a very young age to follow all the shots in – I#8217;ve always been told you get six or seven of them a season if you follow them in – so hopefully I can keep it up.

Whilst McAlinden was disappointed not to be able to hold onto the win, he feels that, with City still unbeaten in the league, it represents another step forward for the side.
