Mitchell, Beeman at Somerset Exchange Club – Daily American Online

McKenzie Mitchell and Shaye Beeman are Somerset Area High School’s Exchange Club students of the month.

Her future plans are to attend a four year college to major in biomedical engineering.

Her hobbies include volunteering, running and spending time with her family.

In her spare time, Beeman likes to draw, paint, ski, volunteer and spend time with family.

McKenzie Mitchell, daughter of Brian and Leanne Mitchell, is a senior at Somerset Area High School. She is a member of National Honor Society, president of French Honor Society, French Club, secretary of Interact Club, treasurer of FBLA, Mu Alpha Theta, concert band, varsity cross country, Environmental Science Club, and senior class play. She is enrolled in the honors and AP curriculum.

Her honors and awards include: Outstanding Young Woman finalist, Outstanding Young Woman Spirit of OYW Award, Seton Hill Women and Science Scholarship Award recipient, Highest GPA in Spanish II Award, highest honors every quarter since ninth grade, Voice of Democracy third place recipient, Hometown History Award, Most Knowledgeable Cheerleader Award, and two-time District 5 Cheerleading runner-Up.

Shaye Beeman is the daughter of Shawn and Amy Beeman. She is a senior at Somerset Area High School and is enrolled in the AP curriculum. In school she is involved in the following activities: publicist for the National Honor Society, Spanish Honor Society member, Spanish Club member, vice president of student council, Interact Club member, Art Club member, musical participant, captain of the Somerset Varsity Game and Competitive Cheerleading Squads, Mu Alpha Theta member, Cotillion participant, and senior class play participant.
