Motorcyclist survives crash with guardrail – Rutland Herald

WARDSBORO — A Dover motorcyclist suffered a broken leg and other injuries after striking a guardrail.

He was treated at Grace Cottage Hospital, and later Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, for non life-threatening injuries including a fractured leg and finger and lacerations to bicep and thigh.

State police report that Joseph S. Thomas, 59, was already at the hospital when troopers were dispatched to the South Wardsboro Road crash at 11:20 a.m. on Saturday. Police say Thomas attempted to enter a right hand curve and was unable to maintain his lane, causing his motorcycle to cross the center line and strike a guardrail. The motorcycle was damaged on the left side.
