Berwick representative Anne-Marie Trevelyan will be tackling the arduous Royal Marines’ Commando Challenge this weekend.

“The Commando Challenge will be cold, wet and too far for my unfit self, but I am doing it because the Royal Marines Charity looks after those who have long-term needs after serving our country, and the Devon Air Ambulance looks after the Marines training in Devon, as well as all of those who live and work in that most beautiful and rural part of England.”
Plunging into frozen water and running over tough terrain – a Northumberland MP is preparing to take on a gruelling assault course for two charities.
Not for the fainthearted, the route sees participants take on a 10k run over tricky territory, along with an array of cold, wet and uncomfortable obstacles; including the Sheep Dip – a fully-immersed 12ft concrete pipe filled with ice-cold water.
Anne-Marie is participating in the challenge – at Woodbury Common, in Devon – in aid of the Royal Marines Charity and the Devon Air Ambulance.
