“We might not have changed the world on July 15 but next year, on July 7 we aim to raise £5,000 and I know with the help and determination we had last year will get us there.”
Rosie Wood, who helped organise the event, said the success was down to fantastic support from the community and local businesses.
“It was a truly overwhelming evening. I never expected us to raise such a fantastic amount but I recently found out each mission costs £ 2,100 for the Lincs and Notts Air Ambulance and they have to raise in excess of £2.2 million per year to fund what they do.
An outdoor music event held to raise funds for the Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance has been hailed a huge success after raising an impressive £3,500 for the cause.
Tickets will be £10 for the event which includes a roast pork cob and will be on sale from January from Rosie Cope 07974 785930.
Next years event at Tresswell Village Hall will be marketed in conjunction the Benson Mellors Cup Memorial Charity Clay Shoot which will be held at The Brick Yard, Gamston Wood starting at 12pm.
