Somerset County man facing charges he choked his girlfriend – WJAC Johnstown

The woman sustained red marks and bruising in the neck area as a result, police said. Lehman then chased her after she ran out of the house and across the street to a neighbor’s residence, police said.

Police said Lehman and his girlfriend were involved in a domestic dispute Saturday along the 600 block of Kircher Place. The argument turned physical when, police said, Lehman choked his girlfriend inside the residence.

Lehman fled the scene as police arrived, and then crashed his vehicle when troopers went to intercept him in the Donegal area, police said.

Nicholas Lehman, 33, of Acosta, is charged with strangulation, simple assault, harassment and disorderly conduct, according to a police report.

Lehman is currently being held in the Somerset County Jail on $30,000 bail, according to court documents.
