Somerset Patriots Year In Review: Aharon Eggleston – MyCentralJersey.com

Aharon Eggleston#8217;s season was marred by a thumb injury that hampered him at the plate, although many players would be thrilled with a year in which they hit .263 and earned an All-Star Game nod.

Eggleston still maintained an excellent defensive standard in left field, however.  Remarkably, in 487 career games played in the outfield with the Patriots, he#8217;s made just five errors.

However, the 36-year-old has set the bar very high with his performance in previous seasons #8212; especially 2016, where he hit .310 with eight home runs and 55 RBI #8212; and would surely be welcomed back in 2018 to rebound after having undergone off-season surgery.

One of Somerset#8217;s biggest MMA fans didn#8217;t have his usual punch this year.
