According to Surrey County Council (SCC), Fingerlings have been branded as this year#8217;s Christmas #8220;must-have#8221; toys.
#8220;There’s often no way of knowing whether they meet strict toy safety standards and they’re also more likely not to work properly, with no easy way of getting refunds or replacements.
This wasn#8217;t the time first time there has been an attempt to sneak in the fake Fingerlings into the UK.
#8220;To avoid fakes, we#8217;d urge shoppers to look out for misspelt words or typos on the packaging and make sure the name and address of the manufacturer or importer is clearly visible in case there’s a problem.#8221;
Officers have urged anyone who has concerns about a product they have seen for sale or have already bought to contact the Citizens Advice consumer helpline on 03454 04 05 06.
Plastic animals that have been branded as this year#8217;s #8220;must-have#8221; Christmas toys have been seized at Heathrow Airport over safety concerns.
