Three men found guilty over Harpurhey bingo hall shooting – Manchester Evening News

Three males are facing jail after being in prison for shooting a parent and boy within the carpark of the bingo hall.

Stuart Shears, 45, of Moston, was charged with kidnapping, false jail time, blackmail and doing an action meant to pervert the path of justice within the trial, but walked free of court after jurors were not able to achieve verdicts and also the prosecution made the decision to not pursue a retrial.

Mr Woodhall added: “It was thought that Scott Calder was accountable for stealing either drugs or money associated with drugs from the rival range of drug dealers #8211; including Mark Barker and James Instone.”

Scott Calder, then 22, and the mother Marie, then 56, endured arm injuries once they were shot within the carpark of Gala Bingo in Harpurhey, back on The month of january 12, 2014.

Now James Instone, 33, of Blackley Mark Barker, 45, of Miles Platting and James Henry, 29, of Blackley, have been discovered responsible for charges of wounding with intent and having a gun with intent to jeopardize existence, following a shooting from the mother and boy.

Jurors were advised this sparked a vendetta by which people from the Calder family were shot and kidnapped inside a bid to obtain back the kilo of stolen drugs.
