West Sussex woods on a list of the world’s ‘hidden gems’ – Spirit FM

Horsham District Council Cabinet Member for Leisure and Culture Cllr Jonathan Chowen said:

“They are truly “hidden gems” and just typical of the type of rich cultural experience visitors to our district can expect to enjoy.”

“We are very pleased that Leechpool and Owlbeech Woods have been commended alongside such prestigious world destinations.

Run and maintained by Horsham District Council, Leechpool and Owlbeech Woods are free to visit and are open all year round.

Commenting on the experience of visiting the local woods, the Guardian said it was “transported to another world” as it explored the combined 108 acres of woods and heathland.
