Woking Victoria Square development: First look at 100m crane under construction in town centre which will kick start … – Get Surrey

Southbound traffic will be redirected along Lockfield Drive, Triggs Lane and Wych Hill, joining the A320 at Turnoak roundabout.

Installation was put back to 5am on Friday, with works due to continue until 5am on Monday (January 15). Victoria Way will be shut to all traffic between Goldsworth Road and Lockfield Drive during this time.

Residents will then see the core of the main tower rise to 34 stories, giving an idea of the eventual scale of the £460m town centre project.

Northbound traffic will be diverted along Goldsworth Road and Church Street West, rejoining Victoria Way via Forge End.

This was the scene in Woking#8217;s Victoria Square on Saturday (January 13) as assembly got under way to erect a 100m crane at the heart of the town centre.

Delivery of the crane began on Friday (January 12), a week after being delayed by bad weather , and Get Surrey popped along on Saturday to see how things were taking shape at the building site .
